August 25 - Mrs. Moore

Absent: no one

We watched a video that explained Web 2.0 at http://www.youtube.com/embed/nsa5ZTRJQ5w We talked about Open Source and what that means. Open Source is the name for all the free Internet tools that we will be learning about in this class. Mrs. Moore showed us her website at http://kimberlymoore.webs.com/ to show us some Web. 2.0 tools.
We logged into our personal gmail accounts. We made an e-mail group of our class. We added a picture to our e-mail if we wanted to.
We opened Google Docs. We uploaded our "What Matters" essays to our Google Docs. We shared our paper with Mrs. Moore. We shared our paper with one other student in class and commented/peer edited with that student. There is no homework for Monday Aug. 29.

August 29 - Ben

Absent: No One

We created our wikispaces and got a general idae of how to use them, We then attached our Essays to our personal page by copying the link. Our homework assignment is to write the second "What Matters to You?" essay which is about problems in the community. Instructions can be found on the assignment page of the wiki. We were also introduced to bubbl.us, a tool for brainstorming.

August 31 - Elizabeth

Absent: NO ONE

In the BEST class ever, first we uploaded our second paper and our bubbl.us chart. Next, we added the link from the google docs to our personal wiki pages. Next we looked at the websites with the resources for topic ideas. For the rest of class we edited with three other people.
HOMEWORK:
Write the global paper. Make sure you create it in google docs, and then upload it to the wiki. And start thinking about what your final topic will be
HOMEWORK: All 3 essays uploaded to your wiki page and your bubbl/us uploaded to your wiki page by the beginning of next class.

September 2 - Caroline Grace

Absent: Henry, Lynn (we lost Genevieve :( she changed classes)

We separated into 2 groups and we are viewing and editing eachother's papers. We also continued havingour personal discussions with Mrs. Moore. We all had lovely conversations. We also have started working on our Digo accounts.

‍SEPTEMBER 7 - Henry

‍Absent: Ben Albritton

We re-named our essays so Mrs. Moore could tell whose was whose. We read an article on Spokeo and discussed it. We then joined Diigo, watched a video on how to use Diigo and started on our lists. HOMEWORK: Save at least 3 websites to a LIST YOU MAKE in diigo.

‍SEPTEMBER 9 - Kasey

In class today:
1. At the beginning of class we had to make sure we had at least 1 list created on diigo.com and 3 websites saved under that list.
2. Next, we put a link to our diigo list on our personal wikispace page.
3. Mrs. Moore had our class go online to glogster.com, which is a website where you can create online, digital posters.
4. We watched a video tutorial on how to use glogster.
5. Mrs. Moore gave us a piece of paper with a specific website, username, and password so we could set up our glogster account.
